KEZIA COULD FACE SUSPENSION

-

long did you work at the Palazzo Versace and what was your role there? was general manager Palazzo from 2009 to 2014. at did the Palazzo Versace come to be involved with the show?

Versace came to be involved as at the time we were considered one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. It was a perfect fit to be a wonderful antidote for the celebrities who had been enduring a gruelling stay in the camp.

services did it provide for the contestants and the production crew?

contestants were all given suites on return. One of the joys of working with the show is their generosity and care shown to the families of the contestants, who are flown out and welcome back the contestants when they leave the jungle. It’s a real treat for all the families of the celebrities and they have such a great time. celebrities were on the show and staying at the hotel otel while you were there? there for all those years ears there were so many but my first year it was Katie Price, Samantha ntha Fox, George Hamilton and Joe Bugner, and the last one was Joey oey Essex, Steve Davis, Kian Egan and David Emanuel. you have any favourites ites on the show? didn’t really have any favourourite celebrities but David Emamanuel’s sister and I became good ood mates over the time with a gin and tonic and “iechyd da” each night ight before dinner. I would love to see her again now I’m in Wales. food did the celebrities ties usually like to eat at the hotel otel after suffering bushtucker trials? s? would hit the comfort fort food as soon as they were out. There was one American celebrity rity who stayed in the hotel before going in to the jungle who was eating her lunch overlooking the marina on the day before she went in. I told her to savour every mouthful because the next thing she would have in her mouth would be deep fried worms or boiled kangaroo testicle. Needless to say she was the first contestant out that year. Ant and Dec stay there and did you have any funny stories with them? and Dec only stayed a couple of times. They were such great guys to the staff. Very popular guests.

Amuch would a night’s stay set back a normal visitor? suites they stayed in were around $800 per night (that’s about £460).

the ce lebs treated to any perks and pamper days after their jungle stay?

contestants were without exception absolutely delightful, very humble and so appreciative of just being looked after. They loved being surrounded by comfort and luxury following a really awful couple of weeks. you have any memorable moments or funny stories from the show that you can share? Discretion is the hallmark of a good general manager so I can’t reveal any details. I can say though that we used to have the celebrities for the German version of the show and there was much more “drama” drama when they were in house. That could have been its own rea lity show in itself! LABOUR MSPs will consider if Kezia Dugdale, should be suspended for her decision to appear on the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, the party’s new Scottish leader said.

Richard Leonard was elected to succeed Ms Dugdale as the new leader of the party north of the border.

But his victory was in part overshadowed by news that his predecessor was taking part in the TV programme.

Mr Leonard said he was a “bit disappointed” by her decision, and that Scottish Labour would consider if the former leader should be suspended as a result.

Speaking in Glasgow just after he was elected leader, Mr Leonard said suspension was not his initial reaction, but he added: “I think it’s something the group will have to consider.”

It is unclear if Ms Dugdale informed or sought approval from Scottish Labour party bosses about the move. Mr Leonard told journalists: “I awoke as many other people did this

morning to the news that Kezia is going into that programme, and I think that is something the group is going to have to consider over the next few days and I think we will consider.”

However, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said Ms Dugdale should not be suspended from the party for going on the show.

He told the Press Association: “It’s her choice to go on I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, I don’t think it’s appropriate to suspend someone from the party for doing that, that’s her choice.”
