FOUR-GOAL salvo from Luke Bowen helped Port Talbot Town claim a first win in four in Nathaniel Car Sales Welsh League Division One with a crushing 5-1 victory over strugglers Ton Pentre at Ynys Park.

Nathan Facey netted for Ton Pentre, either side of Bowen strikes, as Port Talbot took advantage to hold a narrow 2-1 lead at half time.

Bowen’s third came just before the hour mark and he found the net 20 minutes later to hand all three points to the Steelmen.

Cortez Belle then completed the rout on 81 minutes.

Elsewhere, a first-half hattrick from Tom Walters inspired Goytre United to a 4-2 victory over Caerau Ely at Cwrt-yr-Ala, their first win in seven league games.

Chris Hutson was the other United scorer.

In other action, a late Steve Hughes goal helped Briton Ferry Llansawel salvage a 3-3 draw with Undy Athletic.

Gareth Jones cancelled out Dan Jarman’s early opener but the latter struck again midway through the second half to put Undy back ahead.

Tre Marrett extended Undy’s lead three minutes after the restart, but a second Jones goal pulled Briton Ferry back into the game before Hughes’ late heroics.

Elsewhere, a Sam Johnson brace helped Taffs Well beat Afan Lido 2-1 while Liam Reed was at the double as Cambrian & Clydach saw off Monmouth Town 4-1.

In Division Two, leaders Caldicot Town failed to extend their lead at the top after surprising­ly falling to a 4-2 defeat at STM Sports.

Kallum Hajgato found the net twice for STM with Joel Queni and Chris Worsley also on the scoresheet.
