HOLYWELL Town moved up to third in the Huws Gray Alliance with a thumping 4-0 home win over mid-table Holyhead Hotspur.

It took just seven minutes for the hosts to take the lead with Steve Lewis putting the Wellmen ahead following an early break.

The game then settled down but Jonathan Jones doubled the lead shortly after the half-hour mark to give Holywell a strong advantage.

Lewis grabbed his second less than 10 minutes into the second half to all but seal the three points.

The forward went close to his hat-trick after a shot on the turn but it flew just wide of the goal.

However, two minutes later he did find the net to claim a second hat-trick in seven days, and 18th of the season.

He was then given a rest for the final 15 minutes as Morgan Jones replaced him and helped the Wellmen to victory.
