Brydon’s 2019 tour set to stop at Welsh cities

-

STARS of the popular panel show Would I Lie To You? are to tour the UK.

Wales’ Rob Brydon, below, along with Lee Mack and David Mitchell, will tour a new comedy show, stopping at six UK cities including Cardiff and Swansea.

The show, Brydon, Mack & Mitchell – In Your Town, is heading to Cardiff’s St David’s Hall and Swansea’s Grand Theatre.

Along with the two Welsh cities, they will be performing in Sheffield, Portsmouth, Southend and Brighton.

While it won’t be based on the popular BBC panel series, the promoters describe the show as “an unmissable evening of chat, comedy and messing around”.

Speaking about the new tour, Baglan-born Brydon joked: “There are so many others I would rather tour with but it’s point- less dwelling on that now.” Meanwhile, Brydon has his own UK tour coming up which will include dates at Swansea Grand Theatre and the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff in October. Would I Lie To You? is the comedy panel game hosted by Brydon and featuring Mack and Mitchell as team captains. First screened in 2007, it sees them, with celebrity guests, try to discover unusual facts about their rival teams. Series 12 of Would I Lie To You? airs later this year. The tour’s Wales dates are Friday, September 20 (Swansea) and Monday, September 23, (Cardiff). Tickets for the Cardiff and Swansea shows can be bought through Ticketmaster, priced from £40.
