Building fall kills 10
AROUND THE WORLD
TEN people are reported to have been killed in northern Iran after a building collapsed when a water heater exploded.
Five people were injured and taken to hospital after the incident in Mashhad, said Iranian media.
Many Iranians use gas-powered storage water heaters and similar cases in the past have been blamed on gas leakages from the heaters and a disregard for safety measures.
The YJC.ir news website said six of the victims died immediately following the collapse of the two-storey building and four died later in hospital.
