Wilsons Auctions Newport marks first anniversary with celebration car and unreserved government auctions
WILSONS Auctions Newport is marking its first anniversary with a celebratory day of auctions on Wednesday, November 7 including a substantial car auction and unreserved government auction, which will include the first government land and property auction to take place at the branch.
The evening of auctions, which will kick off from 6pm, will include spot prizes for customers and will mark a successful first year in business, which has seen significant investment into the branch including additional staff and new auctions and will launch the new office and building refurbishment.
The first anniversary car auction will see 100 fresh new entries going under the hammer from 6pm, including entries from Eastern Western Motor Group, Ron Skinner & Sons, Ford, Honda, Secure Trust Bank, Next Gear Capital and many more.
There has been evidential growth across the car auctions since Wilsons Auctions acquired the Newport branch, as it now sells up to 150 cars each week with fresh entries daily and has also welcomed a number of new vendors.
Speaking of the milestone, branch manager Nigel Binks said: “We are excited to be celebrating the first anniversary of Wilsons Auctions Newport. The branch has come a long way in just one year and as a thank you to our supportive customers and clients we would like to welcome everyone to Newport on November 7.
“There will really be something for everyone on the night as we prepare for our biggest car auction of the year, including entries from Eastern Western.”
“In addition, we will host our next unreserved government auction featuring a range of luxury and designer goods and we will also be adding a new auction to the branch with the first government land and property auction taking place with lots from across the UK and as far as France,” he added.
An estimated £5.5m worth of goods will be going under the hammer during the unreserved government auction and government land and property auction from 7.30pm.
Bidders will have the chance to purchase high value watches by Rolex, Omega, Panerai Luminor, Cartier and Tag Heuer. In addition, MercedesBenz, Land Rover and BMW cars will be going under the hammer with no reserve, along with designer shoes by Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga and Giuseppe Zanotti, designer handbags by Michael Kors and Vivienne Westwood and fashion belts by Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Alexander McQueen.
Other items include jewellery, designer clothing, Apple iPad Mini 2 tablets, Beats by Dre headphones and a Stealth Electric Bike Bomber.
This month Wilsons Auctions will be introducing government land and property for the first time to its Newport branch. Government instructed property across the UK, France and America will go under the hammer with guide prices ranging from £35,000 to £550,000.
Bidders will have the opportunity to purchase property from a three-bed semi-detached house in Liverpool to a four-bedroom house with swimming pool in Davenport, Florida as well as an unreserved property in La Chataigneraie, France.
Wilsons Auctions is the largest independent auction company in the UK and Ireland and the acquisition of its Newport branch has helped the company expand its presence across Wales and in the south west region of England.
Elsewhere, Wilsons Auctions Queensferry will be hosting a plant and machinery Auction on Thursday, November 8, at 11am. With around 400 lots to go under the hammer including small tools, plant, machinery and HGVs the auction will be available to both physical and online bidders.
Featured lots include an Iveco Eurocargo Transporter, a Toyota Hilux and Man TGL. A viewing day has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 7, from 9am to 5pm, and further entries are being accepted.
