ANOTHER 363 NEW CASES OF COVID-19 CONFIRMED
A FURTHER 16 people in Wales have died after testing positive for coronavirus, latest statistics published yesterday have revealed. This is the same figure as the day before.
The figures from Public Health Wales reveal that 363 new cases of Covid19 have been confirmed in the latest 24-hour period, a sharp fall from the 533 which were reported on Friday but still more than has been seen in recent days. This brings the total since the start of the pandemic to 201,352.
The number of people to have died with coronavirus in Wales within a month of a positive test now stands at 5,221.
The infection rate across Wales is now 83 per 100,000 population based on the seven days up to February 14, a very slight fall from 83.3 yesterday. Infection rates have reduced to levels not seen since September.
The latest data also shows that 853,904 people have now received a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, up 14,839 from the figure of 839,065 published 24 hours earlier.
Meanwhile, 32,002 people have now received both doses of the vaccine, a rise from 25,433 yesterday.

■ Neath Port Talbot: 85.1 (unchanged)
■ Vale of Glamorgan: 84.6 (down from 89.8)
■ Caerphilly: 82.3 (down from 83.4)
■ Torfaen: 79.8 (down from 87.9)
■ Carmarthenshire: 75.8 (up from 72)
■ Rhondda Cynon Taf: 68.8 (down from 83.3 )
