Royal baby is named
THE newly revealed name of the latest addition to the royal family is likely to attract a lot of interest, a commentator said.
Baby August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, is the Queen’s ninth greatgrandchild.
The couple chose the name August after Queen Victoria’s consort Prince Albert, who had Augustus as a middle name.
Prince Albert is August’s great-great-great-great-greatgrandfather.
Philip is in honour of Eugenie’s grandfather and August’s great-grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Philip is currently at King Edward VII’s hospital, having been admitted on Tuesday evening after feeling unwell.
