Pensioner dies in road accident

A PENSIONER has died after a car hit a wall, police have confirmed.

The elderly woman, 84, was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital for treatment following the single vehicle accident on Bagillt High Street in Flintshire.

North Wales Live reported the road was partially blocked in both directions following the collision near a church just before midday on

Friday. North Wales Police later confirmed her death at around 4.15pm.

The force released the following statement: “Following a single vehicle RTC (road traffic collision) on High Street, Bagillt, we can sadly confirm that an 84-year-old woman has died. The lady’s next of kin have been informed. We are not in a position to provide any further details at present.”
