Flying Start projects given cash boost
FLYING Start projects throughout South Wales are to get a cash boost from a £5.2m injection of Welsh Government capital funding.
Flying Start supports families living in some of the most disadvantaged communities across Wales.
It offers 12 and a half hours of highquality, fully-funded childcare a week for two to three-year-olds; support for the development of children’s speech, language and communication; parenting support; and an enhanced health visitor service.
The money announced by Julie Morgan, Deputy Minister for Health and Social Services, will help 70 Flying Start projects across Wales to help improve, develop or expand.
