Wales On Sunday

How they rated

- BY GLEN WILLIAMS

DILLON PHILLIPS

In truth, had very little to do. But did what he had to well enough. Just clapped and cheered as his team-mates ran amok!

ADEN FLINT

Another really solid display from the stand-in skipper. Kept Birmingham’s strikers quiet all afternoon.

CURTIS NELSON

The defender was back to his sharpest. Nicking in front of forwards to get the ball and good on the recovery, too.

CIARON BROWN

That left foot of his is getting better and better as the season goes on. He knows what to hit in the channels. Defensively sound, too.

PERRY NG

Looked to be back to his marauding best down the right. So good to see him really getting involved in the attacks again.

JOE RALLS

One of his best performances of late. So crisp in his passing and rock-solid defensively. Dovetailed well with Bacuna in there.

MARLON PACK

A new position for him but he really impressed. Nice to see a real ball-playing centre half and his calmness in possession ended up launching attacks.

LEANDRO BACUNA

Good to see him back in the holding midfield role, where he looks more at home. Dynamic and energetic in there and good on the ball.

RUBIN COLWILL

Embarked on so many mazy runs with the ball at his feet. Looked silky and classy when travelling at full tilt and exploited the space Birmingham left him. Backed up last week’s good display.

KIEFFER MOORE

Got clattered a few times, which is the nature of his role. But was pivotal to Cardiff’s attack and his link-up play is improving constantly. Hooked at half-time as a precautionary measure.

STAR MAN: HARRY WILSON

His finest performance yet. His first was a wonderstrike and then two trademark free-kicks. If this is how he signs off then it would be fitting. Simply incredible.

SUBSTITUTES
