MISBEHAVIO­UR Tonight, BBC2, 9pm

In 1970, the Miss World beauty pageant in London was interrupte­d by feminist protestors, much to the displeasur­e of the host, Hollywood veteran Bob Hope. The true story forms the basis for this comedy drama, which stars Keira Knightley and Jessie Buckley as Sally Alexander and Jo Robinson, two of the prime movers behind the disruption. Gugu Mbatha-Raw plays Jennifer Hosten, aka Miss Grenada, who made history that night. There are supporting roles for Greg Kinnear as Hope, and Lesley Manville as his wife Dolores, who has her own reasons for not wanting him to be involved in the pageant.

ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND Tomorrow, GREAT! movies, 9pm

Joel (Jim Carrey, left) is struggling to get over his break-up with girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet) when he discovers she had a procedure to erase all memories of him. He decides to have the same treatment, but midway through Joel realises some memories of their relationsh­ip are too precious to lose, in this offbeat romance.

CAN YOU EVER FORGIVE ME? Tuesday, Film4, 9pm

Comedy drama set in early 1990s New York City, about a forger who dug herself out of a financial hole by inventing signed correspond­ence from a variety of famous people. Melissa McCarthy, left, milks sympathy for her self-absorbed misanthrop­e, who boasts “I can’t get caught. Fools get caught,” thereby ensuring her downfall.

SNOWPIERCE­R

Wednesday, Film4, 11.10pm

This dark fantasy thriller boasts an impressive cast including Chris Evans (pictured), Tilda Swinton and Jamie Bell. A failed experiment to end global warming has turned the Earth into a frozen wasteland. What’s left of humanity is confined to a high-speed train, where passengers are divided by class – but a revolution is afoot.

IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK Thursday, BBC4, 9pm

Tish Rivers and Fonny Hunt (KiKi Layne and Stephan James, left) fall in love in 1970s Harlem. When a woman accuses Fonny of rape, testimony from police officer Bell (Ed Skrein) – who the couple have had a run-in with previously – seals his fate. Tish vows to prove her man’s innocence in a love story against a backdrop of racial injustice.

THE BIG SICK Friday, BBC3, 10pm

Comedian Kumail (Kumail Nanjiani) hones his craft while also working as a taxi driver. After one gig, he meets and falls for audience member Emily (Zoe Kazan, left with Nanjiani). Soon after, she falls ill. As she lies in a coma, Kumail awkwardly bonds with her parents, Beth (Holly Hunter) and Terry (Ray Romano) in the hospital.

ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD Saturday, Channel 4, 9pm

Quentin Tarantino’s Oscar-winning comedy drama follows washed-up TV actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt, pictured with DiCaprio) as they strive to achieve fame and success in the LA movie industry of 1969. Margot Robbie, Al Pacino, Kurt Russell, Damian Lewis and Mike Moh co-star.
