Contemplation high jewellery collection, by Boucheron

As creative director of Boucheron, Claire Choisne defines exquisite jewels with a sharp technicality. The recent Contemplation high jewellery collection translates her preoccupation with realism and natural motifs into fluid designs full of artistry. Heavenly materials appear to be pulled from the sky. In one necklace, milky blue aerogel, an ultralight synthetic material used by Nasa to gather stardust, is enveloped in heavy rock crystal. In another, diamond clouds drift on a necklace of titanium mesh, the sky tattooed with lacquer. Here, the diamond-set wings of the ‘Battement d’ailes’ choker look ready to take flight. Inspired by the sculpted silhouette of a diadem from 1906, the choker embellishes its curves with a double row of feathers in intricately engraved mother-of-pearl.* boucheron.com
