Macpherson grew up in California with a camera in hand, following in his parents’ footsteps. This month, we tasked him with shooting artist Daniel Arsham’s playdoughinspired furniture (page 124). ‘Just walking into Daniel’s studio was an incredible experience,’ he says. ‘His work feels young and playful yet a bit dystopian at the same time. And when it came to his portrait, he was so obliging. He had no reservations and gave us the freedom to experiment.’
