There are few things more exciting than an email from my editors at Wallpaper*, asking if I might be available to interview Sophie Calle (W*259), or Tomás Saraceno (W*235), Jean Nouvel (W*235), or even Éric Cantona (W*222). These are just some of the exceptional people this magazine has given me the opportunity to sit down and talk with over the years. I love that Wallpaper* is just as willing to give space to lesser-known subjects – such as septuagenarian textile artist Simone Pheulpin (W*234), who sent me on my way with homemade quiches for the train.
