Born in Japan and raised in India, Davis worked as a furniture designer for a few years before moving to Tokyo to study interior design. Her minimalist furniture explores light, water, shadows and natural phenomena to ‘create not just static works but products with a sensorial or emotional experience’, such as the ‘For a Fleeting Moment’ shelves, which feature hidden patches of neon paint reflected by the surface below.
