Celebrated for his richly textured, often monochrome paintings and his gargantuan, geometric clay sculptures, Sodi infuses natural materials with great emotive power. His Brussels sprouts recipe features in this month’s Artist’s Palate (page 186). Following a takeover of the garden at the Dallas Museum of Art (until 10 July), Sodi is now in residence at the Fondazione dell’albero d’oro in Venice, gearing up for a solo show that reflects on the history of pigment.
