A Central Saint Martins graduate, Cooper grew up taking pictures of the mountains and landscapes of her native South Wales. Today, she produces images at the frontier between the natural and artificial, using techniques such as scanography. This month, Cooper turned her lens on Chanel’s beauty collection (page 098). ‘I tend to experiment a lot while shooting and so we approached the shoot in a fun and fluid way, working with various lighting, allowing the process to take over,’ she explains.
