Visit the icons of LA with Wallpaper* this September as we explore the best the city has to offer
For four days, Wallpaper* will be sharing LA’S best bits from a design perspective, together with a number of the city’s masterminds. Offering up a unique insight into LA’S ever-changing landscape, we’ll be taking an intimate group of guests on an exclusive tour, with closed-door access to some of the city’s most iconic establishments.
The residents of John Lautner’s Garcia House will open their doors for one time only, to allow Wallpaper* to showcase the renowned establishment that has become such a standout feature of the city.
Kulapat Yantrasast, founder and creative director of design architecture practice Why, renowned for its contemporary galleries and buildings the world over, will be giving guests a private tour of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures (above left), for which he designed the internal galleries.
Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall (above right) and Diller Scofidio + Renfro’s The Broad (top left) are among the exciting stops on the itinerary, not to mention the Getty Center (top right) and Hauser & Wirth art gallery. From meeting the curators behind some of these establishments to welcome drinks at one of the city’s hottest restaurants, this trip will be hosted in true Wallpaper* style, promising an element of prestige and wonder that you won’t find elsewhere.
