Gorilla greeting

I shot this ( right) at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda in October 2017. We had travelled across Uganda visiting several national parks, each with its own wildlife sightings, but the gorillas were the highlight.

We trekked for two hours to find a family, and when we first came across them, the silverback announced our arrival with some chest-beating and charging. They were such magnificent, graceful creatures, who were totally unfazed by our presence.

It was one of the most breathtaking and humbling experiences of my life. Karen Cooper, via email
