PHOTO OF THE MONTH
Away from the crowds, Taj Mahal, India
Andrew Murray “This photo was taken on a recent eight-week adventure through Nepal and India. We were keen to avoid the coachloads of tourists, so two friends and I left our hostel at 4.20am and arrived at the entrance to the magnificent Taj Mahal at 4.40am. We were second in the queue and our excitement went up a level.
Upon entering the complex, everybody was rushing to get in and the crowds were gathering near the front. By chance, we went around its far side instead and we had the place to ourselves. It was a magical moment and meant we were able to get this shot.”
