Cotopaxi, Ecuador

It’s hardly an original observation to say that life finds a way, but it’s no less valid for the repetition. The alpacas here, gathered in the shadow of Cotopaxi (5,897m), the highest active volcano in the world, live in a tough environment. It’s no wonder that, 25 years ago, the wild wonders of Ecuador were the inspiration for Wanderlust’s founders to create the UK’S first travel magazine. And it’s still inspiring us today…
