The author of our sustainable travel article (p72), Holly’s been spreading the word about positive-impact adventures ever since circumnavigating the world without flying in 2010. Her debut book, Sustainable Travel, will be published in August.

“I try to fly only once a year so I look forward to some long train or boat rides and will savour every moment of the journey.”
NATHAN JACKSON
Indigenous Alaska
The world-renowned artist is a member of the Chilkoot-tlingit tribe in south east Alaska. As a master carver, metalsmith, creative artist and traditional dancer, Nathan shares Tlingit values and traditions with us on p172.

“I’ve had my vaccinations, but I will make travel safer for myself and others by still masking up whenever I'm in a group.”

Nur-sultan
Not just the author of five guidebooks for Bradt Travel Guides, Sophie’s a tourism development consultant specialising in emerging destinations, with a particular interest in Central Asia. She writes about Kazakhstan’s capital Nur-sultan on p184.
