A 16- YEAR- OLD boy is set to be quizzed by cops after a police chase in Coventry.

Officers tried to stop a Nissan Micra on the A444 Phoenix Way on Good Friday at around 6.15pm.

The driver failed to stop and the vehicle crossed on to the wrong side of the carriageway, where it was involved in a collision with a Volkswagen Golf.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “The driver of the Micra, a 16- year- old boy, was taken to hospital with cuts to his leg and is due to be interviewed in due course.

“The driver and passenger from the VW Golf also went to hospital with minor injuries.

“As is routine in these circumstances, the Independent Police Complaints Commission was informed due to police contact before the collision.”
