Man hurt in brawl near club in serious condition
A MAN who was hit over the head with an object in a mass brawl in the early hours of Sunday morning is in a serious condition in hospital.
The 25-year-old man suffered a fractured skull after a huge fight outside So Club Room in Hertford Place.
Yesterday police said he was hit over the head with an object.
This morning officers told the Telegraph that the man remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
So far no-one has been arrested in connection with the attack - which the police are continuing to investigate.
The incident occurred at around 6.15am on Sunday morning.
As many as 20 people were believed to be involved in the fighting outside the city centre and the victim was found slumped on the floor.
Det Sgt Michelle Kiedron has urged anyone who saw the brawl or witnessed anyone running from the scene to get in touch.
She said: “We’re examining CCTV in the location in a hope that will help explain what happened and who was involved.
“If anyone has any information about what happened, maybe they witnessed the build-up to the fight, I’d urge them to contact me.
“We know there were also people in the area making an early start to their day and they may also have seen something important.”
