Santa and his sleigh on streets of the city
FATHER Christmas will be making his way through Coventry as the dates and route for this year’s Santa tracker have been released.
The ever-popular event, run by the Coventry Rotary Clubs, takes to the streets of Coventry to give kids the chance to meet Santa.
Santa will be making his way through the various areas of the city right until Christmas Eve.
During the weeks leading up to Christmas Eve, Santa and his sleigh will be making evening appearances from 5.30pm until 8.30pm.
At the weekends, families will have all day to catch a glimpse of the main man himself.
It is all done for charity and this year money will be raised for Coventry Myton Hospice and The Air Ambulance Service.
Every weekend there will be static stops and the sleigh will stop for children to take a seat and talk to Santa himself.
This year Santa and his sleigh will be making his way round Coundon, Willenhall, Allesley, Courthouse Green, Earlsdon, Holbrooks, Keresley, Radford, Poets Corner, Tile Hill and Wyken.
The sleigh will be travelling around a number of roads in these areas to give children and families the chance to meet Santa during the festive period.
At the weekends, it will be stopping for several hours at a time at community centres, shopping parks and village shops. In 2016, £18,400 was raised for numerous charities.
More details of the exact routes can be found on the official Santa Tracker website.
