Gordon set to be a Buddie
Livingston defender Ben Gordon is set to seal a move to Championship outfit St Mirren.
Courier Sport understands that the 30-year-old will put pen to paper on a deal with Alex Rae’s side over the coming days.
Gordon made the step up to full-time football for the first time last summer when he penned a deal with the Lions.
The centre- back was an integral part of the Livingston side last season, playing 35 games in the heart of defence, scoring one goal.
However, a leg injury sustained in April saw him miss the final few weeks of the campaign, which ended in David Hopkin’s men being demoted to League One after suffering playoff defeat at the hands of Stranraer.
Meanwhile, Craig Sives is expected to sign for Cowdenbeath.
The 30-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan at the Blue Brazil but he was unable to prevent them suffering a second straight relegation.
Sives signed for Livi in January 2014 and went on to play 49 times for the club, scoring six times.
His final appearance came last September when he sustained a leg injury that kept him out of action for five months in a 3-0 defeat at Ibrox.
Livi have already signed three new defenders over the summer, with Alan Lithgow and Sean Crighton arriving from Airdrieonians and Mikey Miller signing from Greenock Morton.
Striker Jordyn Sheerin has signed for League Two side Berwick Rangers following his release from the club.
Sheerin was used sparingly after making the step up from Musselburgh Athletic, making just 11 starts and scoring three times.
