Fun at holiday camp

- Sean O’Neil

West Lothian kids got the chance to practice their football skills with the Livingston first team during the Easter break as part of a charity’s holiday camp.

West Lothian Youth Foundation kicked-off their Holiday Coaching Programme for 2017 during the school holidays where they use football to promote education and health and development.

The Foundation are running a number of camps throughout the two week holiday which sees around 70 children go to Livingston FC to practise and perfect their skills alongside the League One champions.

The kids took part in a number of fun technical based drills with the Youth Foundation’s coaching team and also took part in matches — scoring plenty of goals in the process.

The children took advantage of the professional facility and decent weather to come along and show off their talents.

The youngsters also had the opportunity to take a tour of Livingston Football Club, seeing the players changing rooms and boot room. They were also invited to attend Livingston’s final few home games for free.

The West Lothian Youth Foundation are now taking bookings for thee summer holidays where they will be running a number of camps .
