Benefits of the UK need to be highlighted in uncertain times
Damian Timson is a veteran of the Royal Air Force, and he now works and resides in Livingston.
He understands both the challenges faced in Livingston and the opportunities that exist for the area, especially given the advantageous, geographic nature of the Town.
He is frustrated that more has not been achieved to attract and keep businesses in the area and turn Livingston into the thriving economic powerhouse it should be.
Recently elected to West Lothian Council, Damian will work hard for all his constituents and is determined to improve infrastructure around new developments. He will also strive for better local transport to be provided across West Lothian.
Another key priority for Damian is linking local healthcare to the NHS and thus ensuring a more holistic care package is available for all. A number of his family have worked and work within the NHS and he appreciates the demands on NHS employees and the modern-day challenges faced by this fantastic organisation.
Damian volunteered for Better Together in 2014 and is determined to stand up for the Union of the United Kingdom at every level and believes the benefits of the UK need to be highlighted, especially at these uncertain times.
He has recently retired from volunteering as a rugby referee after 11 years, the last six of which were spent on the Scottish Rugby Referee Panel. He is Chairman of the West Lothian Conservative Association and also enjoys being active and keeping fit.
I will strive for better local transport
