Fundraising’s craft-tea

-

A Livingston store is all set to celebrate everything that’s great about baking and making, whilst raising funds for Children’s Hospice Association Scotland’s Rachel House.

On Saturday (July 29) between 11am and 3pm, Hobbycraft staff are inviting customers to tuck into some tea and tasty treats whilst enjoying some crafting together.

All funds raised will support Rachel House, which the store is supporting through Hobbycraft’s national charity partner Together for Short Lives, the leading charity for the UK’s 54 children’s hospice services.

Since 2012, Hobbycraft’s colleagues and customers have raised £650,000 to support the work of local children’s hospices across the UK. Each children’s hospice, including Children’s Hospice Association Scotland - Rachel House, does arts and crafts which provides a safe place for children to get creative, explore and let paint fly.

Store manager, Thomas McCauley, said:“Do join us for a cuppa, some delicious cake and some crafting fun, whilst raising money for a really worthwhile cause.”

Katherine Scott, corporate partnerships manager at Together for Short Lives, said:“It’s great to be running our Craft-tea campaign for the third year running with our fantastic supporters Hobbycraft. Last year, thanks to the generosity of Hobbycraft’s customers, Craft-tea raised an amazing £20,000. Art, craft and play is an important part of what children’s hospices do and the money raised will directly benefit children, young people and families that rely on their local children’s hospice service.”
