The Terrace Restaurant at West Lothian College has been shortlisted for the Food Awards Scotland for the third consecutive year.

West Lothian College’s award- winning eaterie has been shortlisted in the Restaurant of the Year category for the South East region, after receiving a high number of votes from members of the public.

The Food Awards Scotland aim to recognise, promote and celebrate the food industry in Scotland and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony in Glasgow on August 14.

The Terrace Restaurant is situated within West Lothian College’s Livingston campus and is open to the public for lunches and dinners during term time.

It won both the Restaurant of the Year in Scotland and Best Restaurant in the South East region of Scotland at the Food Awards Scotland in 2015, and The Terrace has been the top-rated restaurant in Livingston and West Lothian on review website TripAdvisor for a number of years.

Bob Prentice, deputy head of hospitality at West Lothian College, said: “We are delighted that The Terrace Restaurant has been shortlisted for such prestigious award for a third time.

“The Terrace Restaurant is helping the next generation of Hospitality and professional cookery students hone their skills for a successful career in the industry.

“By operating our very successful restaurant, the students are better prepared to meet and exceed the needs of sophisticated and demanding restaurant customers.”
