Alzheimer Scotland are looking for volunteers to help at our Day Club that runs out from Whitburn. The day club is an active club and is for people with early onset dementia. Some of the activities involve going bowling, walks in the country parks, barge trips and visits to other attraction­s. This is an enjoyable and fun volunteeri­ng role and the volunteers will be well supported by the charity and given training for this role. Whitburn Armistice Parade Group This year’s Remembranc­e Parade & Service will take place on Sunday 12th November 2017. Any persons or Organisati­ons (young or older) wishing to attend the Annual Remembranc­e Parade please feel free to do so. The Parade will muster around 10.15am behind Whitburn Burgh Hall car park. The parade will then leave at 10.30am prompt and march up to the War Memorial where there will be a short service and the laying of Wreaths. There will then be a service in the Whitburn South Parish Church led by the Rev Dr Angus Kerr and a return parade back to the Burgh Halls. There will be hot snacks & refreshmen­ts provided in the Masonic Hall following event. A mini bus is provided to take part in the parade for any person with walking difficulti­es. Living Well Community Cafe at the centre- Pop along to the Livingwell Community Outreach Cafe in Whitburn Community Education Centre on the first Thursday of each month 10am - 2pm. There will also be other agencies there to talk to including: The Advice Shop, Social Work Addictions Team and WLDAS.

Whitburn Games Club We are a games club situated in Whitburn, West Lothian. We play games ranging from card based strategy, boxed board games, turn based strategy & RPG. The club is on every Saturday from 7pm to midnight (later if necessary) The club is now completely free for everyone so come along.
