Wolves in semis

-

West Lothian Wolves’ under-16 girls reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup thanks to a thrilling 71-66 victory away to St Mirren West College Scotland.

A brilliant display saw the Rocks get the better of the Paisley side for the second time in as many games, having defeated them 77-64 in the league the previous week to climb level with the hosts in the table.

The Wolves will now host the Lady Rocks on December 2, aiming for a place in the final.

Should they grab the victory they would meet the winner of the clash between Polonia Phoenix and Perth Phoenix for the title early next year.

This week is a busy one for the clubs with several fixtures set to take place.

The club’s senior men host Heriot Watt Uni on Saturday in a National League Division Two fixture.

As part of a triple header for the club, the under-16 and under-18 men’s side both host Falkirk Fury after the senior clash.

As for the club’s female sides, the senior women are at home on Sunday to Glasgow University (12.30pm tip-off).

The under-16 women will be looking to build on their Scottish Cup success when they host a struggling Falkirk Fury side (1-5).

That clash tip-offs at 10 am, prior to the women’s National League fixture.
