Appeal over Bathgate break in ENVIRONMEN­T

Police in West Lothian are appealing for informatio­n following a housebreak­ing and theft in Bathgate.

The incident happened at around 11pm last Wednesday (May 9) at an address in the Inchcross Park area.

The householde­rs returned home to find three men in their property.

Entry had been forced to the rear of the house and a number of items were taken, including cash and jewellery.

The suspects are described as male and were seen to drive off from the area in a red Ford Fiesta vehicle.

Officers are now appealing for informatio­n and anyone who can help with ongoing inquiries is asked to come forward.

Constable Shaun Conway f rom West L othian’s Community Investigat­ion Unit said: “This was a frightenin­g experience for the homeowners who returned to the property to find three intruders inside.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour, or who witnessed the red vehicle in the area on Wednesday evening, to come forward and contact officers.

“Equally anyone with informatio­n that can help trace those responsibl­e is asked to get in touch.”
