Liv­ingston Vil­lage Com­mu­nity Ed­u­ca­tion Cen­tre As­so­ci­a­tion we are a Com­mu­nity cen­tre based within Liv­ingston Vil­lage Pri­mary School and op­er­ate solely for the ben­e­fit of pro­vid­ing ed­u­ca­tional/sport­ing and recre­ational ac­tiv­i­ties for lo­cal res­i­dents. We are a com­pletely vol­un­tary or­gan­i­sa­tion. We are pleased to be able to an­nounce that we have launched a new web­site, to man­age book­ings and en­quiries for our rooms. We cur­rently have a range of ac­tiv­i­ties on of­fer in­clud­ing ‘Lit­tle Vil­lagers’ be­fore and af­ter school care, Par­ent and Tod­dlers, Rain­bows, Brown­ies, Guides, Yoga, Karate, En­joy-a-Ball, Cater­pil­lar Mu­sic, plus:

Over 50’s Club come along on a Wed Af­ter­noon ( 1.30-3.30 pm) and play ta­ble ten­nis, domi­noes and other games, or have a chat over a cup of tea or cof­fee. All wel­come. Tel Bruce on 01506 494347

Ac­tiv­i­ties held in Com­mu­nity Wing of Liv­ingston Pri­mary School: Com­mu­nity Play­groups Liv­ingston Vil­lage Mon to Fri­day 9.15-11.30 for chil­dren aged 2 years plus. A small friendly play­group with qual­i­fied staff, fol­low­ing the pre-birth to 3 cur­ricu­lum. A great first step into early years, a great step for nurs­ery. Dance Classes Fun dance classes for chil­dren aged 3 up­wards are held ev­ery Thurs­day 5.30-6.15pm cheer­lead­ing/what’s hot and 6.15-7.00pm hip hop. Par­ents and Tod­dlers Liv­ingston Vil­lage Par­ents and Tod­dlers Group meet on Mon­day and Wed­nes­day from 9.00-11.00am. All pre-school age chil­dren wel­come, ac­com­pa­nied by an adult.

Swim West Loth­ian Les­sons Pro­gramme We now have three venues that we of­fer our Learn to Swim Les­sons. James young High School - Fri­day af­ter­noons from 1-4.30pm Ar­madale Academy - Satur­day morn­ing 10.30-12.15 and Deans Com­mu­nity High School - Satur­day morn­ings from 10.30-12.15. Classes to suit all abil­i­ties - we of­fer les­sons for 49 weeks a year from preschool up­wards to adult. We also do Rookie Life­guard classes which have proved pop­u­lar. Aqua­nauts Liv­ingston Swim­ming Club Has spa­ces for be­gin­ners up to per­sonal sur­vival level. We teach at West Calder High School on a Mon­day evening and In­veral­mond CHS on a Thurs­day evening. We also have spa­ces in our swim­ming club on a Tues­day evening at James Young, Please con­tact aqua­nauts.learn­ for de­tails and to ar­range a trial. We take chil­dren from 4 years of age. Liv­ingston Cricket Club Runs in­door prac­tices for 6-9 year olds 5 to 6pm on a Wed­nes­day and prac­tices for 10-14 year olds 6-7pm on a Wed­nes­day. SMART meet­ings SMART stands for Self Man­age­ment and Re­cov­ery Train­ing and aims to help in­di­vid­u­als gain con­trol over their ad­dic­tive be­haviours through peer led mu­tual aid meet­ings. If you are try­ing to ab­stain from an ad­dic­tive be­hav­iour come along and join us at St. Johns Hos­pi­tal (psy­chol­ogy dept.) on a Thurs­day evening from 6.15 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. You will be met with a warm wel­come, tea or cof­fee and the op­por­tu­nity to dis­cuss and learn from issues for a healthy re­cov­ery. 29th Scout Group’s Beaver Scout sec­tion has spa­ces for both boys and girls aged be­tween 6 and 8 years old. We meet on Wed­nes­days from 6.30 to 7.30 pm in Toronto Pri­mary School and of­fer a wide range of fun games, crafts, out­ings, friend­ship, badges, awards and a chance to learn and try new things. Eliburn Par­ent and Tod­dler Group meets ev­ery Wed­nes­day (term time) 1.30 – 2.30pm at the Free Church of Scot­land, Jack­son Place, Eliburn. All ba­bies, pre-school chil­dren and par­ents/car­ers wel­come.
