Knit wits new class has begun in the Craiginn Centre on a Thursday evening at 6-30 p.m. Knit Wits is there to encourage folks in knitting or crochet and what they would like to achieve in these Forms for the Annual Community Awards are available at the Craiginn Centre. The awards will be presented at the AGM of the Community Education Assoc which will be held in the Centre on Monday May 21st. Craiginn Centre Summer Fun Monday 2 nd July 10-30 till noon. Fundraiser A successful fund raising dance was held in the Craiginn Centre last Saturday evening. Music was provided by Tease and Squeeze and the event was organised by the local Old Folks Committee.

Monday club Christine Duncan was the guest at last weeks Monday Club. Christine delighted the group with song and a quiz which was greatly enjoyed by all present.

SWI The closing evening of the SWI took the form of a Coffee Evening and Beatle Drive. Tracy Hill president extended a warm welcome to everyone and handed out prizes to those who had won entries at the recent Federation Show. She had also brought along the trophy won by Blackridge with their Institute Effort. The next session of the SWI will begin in September. Dwarf Sports Associatio­n UK At the recent Games held in Birmingham ,Jamie Duncan was successful in gaining a Gold medal for the 40 metre sprint, Gold also for Hockey, Bronze for Shot Putt and Bronze for Basketball. Team Scotland achieved 2 nd place overall.
