CHARITY BOOST

-

Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley, celebrated the funding local charities in the Almond Valley constituency have received thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery at a recent reception held at Holyrood.

The reception celebrated the £301 million raised for over 4000 good causes by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

Alongside national charities, many local charities benefit from the funding, with groups in Almond Valley having received £36,390 so far.

Speaking at the reception, Angela Constance MSP said:“It has been fascinating to learn more about People’s Postcode Lottery and I’m delighted to hear the positive impact the funding has had in Almond Valley. I fully back the campaign to increase fundraising limits so charities can continue to carry out vital services.”

Grass roots organisations and registered charities can apply for the funding of up to £20,000 which is available through three different charitable trusts – People’s Postcode Trust, Postcode Local Trust and Postcode Community Trust. Those interested can apply when the next funding round opens in August.
