To allow the services to be moved, the Library, Customer Informatio­n Service (CIS) and the Community Centre will all close early. Blackburn Library in Blackburn Connected will close on Friday 25 May. Blackburn Community Centre will close on Wednesday 30 May. Blackburn CIS will close at 3pm on Tuesday 5 June. The Library, CIS and Community Centre are all scheduled to re-open in the new Blackburn Partnershi­p Centre on Wednesday 6 June. Citizens Advice Bureau West Lothian has an outreach project every second Friday at 9.15, 10.15 and 11.15 am at the Ashgrove Medical Practice. All welcome. Blackburn Branch Club of the Apprentice Boys Of Derry have been fund raising to tidy up the War Memorial on East Main Street which has been left unkempt for a number of years. Two of our late members Bro Jim Young & Bro Neil Speirs have recently passed away and we thought it fitting to raise money in their memory for the War Memorial. The Club, family & friends raised £3500.00.
