Locals at their best in league meeting
There were personal bests galore for Lothian Running Club juniors in the Forth Valley League in Livingston’s Craigswood Stadium.
LRC members put in a string of impressive performances with a number of top-three placings and every athlete recording a new personal best.

U15 girls 100m: A - 1st Robyn MacDonald (13.6).
U11 girls 600m: Megan Lang (2:12), Eilidh Howard (2:18).
U13 girls 1500m: 3rd Eilidh Howard (5:41.7).
U13 boys 1500m: 3rd Aaron Smyth (5:44.8).
U15 girls 800m: 3rd Robyn McDonald (2:47.6).
U11 girls shot putt: Megan Lang (4.07m), Eilidh Howard (3.24m).
U13 girls long jump: 2nd Eilidh Howard (3.34m).
U13 boys long jump: 5th Aaron Smyth (2.99m).
U15 girls high jump: 3rd Robyn McDonald (1.30m).
Shona Young was LRC’s only representative in the 8.5 miles Milngavie Trail Race, where she finished ninth woman and second over-50.
It was another busy Saturday morning for LRC members in the 5k parkruns, with Jo Williams being first female finisher at the Cannock Chase run in Staffordshire with a time of 17.36.
In Australia Mhairi Inglis was the first female finisher at Inverloch for the third time with a new personal best of 20.20.
The club had a dozen runners at the Alloa Half Marathon on Sunday, with Euan McInnes leading the way in 42nd place.
