Special hounds set to host charity tea party Dogs Trust event

- Debbie Hall

Animal welfare experts are hosting an event to showcase the greyhounds who are looking for new homes and discover why they could be“just your cup of tea”.

The team are hoping to illustrate why greyhounds can make the most loyal and loving pets in the home, especially if potential dog owners have never considered a greyhound before.

The four fantastic greyhounds making an appearance at the event are all looking for homes and now have new tea inspired nicknames to help people understand more about them for the event.

Mint Marion is a sweet natured girl who is very peaceful, much like the effects of tasty mint tea, while Rooibos Rebel wants to show everyone how he can have a positive effect on their heart when they fall in love with how loving and comforting he is, just like the heart healing properties found in Rooibos tea.

Tetley Trixie is caring and loving, much just like personality of the Tetley Tea character Tina.

She is a wonderful girl who will enjoy being adored every day just like the classic Tetley Tea.

Finally, Oscar Orange Blossom can help you relax with his sweet and gentle personality just like Orange Blossom tea.

A spokesperson for Dogs trust said: “The greyhounds at the event are aged between two and threeyears-old and they all adore their home comforts, such as snuggling in their warm cosy blankets, cuddling on the sofa or lounging in a nice sun spot.

“They can’t wait to cuddle next to you on the couch at home while you’re having a good cup of tea.”

The event is at the West Calder Rehoming Centre on Sunday November 4, from 2pm to 3pm. For more about the event or any of the dogs featured, call 0300 303 0292 or visit www.dogstrust.org. uk/our-centres/west-calder.
