It’s time to give our much loved Murieston a good tidy up before winter sets in! If you can spare an hour or two of your time on Sunday 28th of October from 11am to 1pm to help us at our family community litter pick we’d love to see you - even an hour would help us tremendously and would get the place looking beautiful again. We’ll be leaving from and returning to the Cricket Club, and as always, free refreshments are available. Hope to see you there - all welcome!

Forth Rivers Trust is holding a free and fun arts activity for anyone interested. Over the past few weeks, volunteers have been out in force tidying up the River Almond. In just one stretch of 100 metres 1,300 pieces of litter were found and collected by volunteers. The Trust is now working with a local Artist to create a sculpture out of the litter collected to raise awareness of litter in rivers. At the event you will get the chance to help create the artwork by encapsulating the litter we found in resin which will then be used as part of the sculpture. If you would like to know more or get involved check out our events page https://www.facebook. com/events/485856461918585/ The workshop will take place at Almondell & Calderwood Visitors Centre on the 27th October. Booking is required through the events page link.
