Man killed on A801 is named

A man who died in a road traf­fic col­li­sion in West Loth­ian last week­end has been named as Gary Sin­clair.

Gary, who was 50 and from Liv­ingston, died fol­low­ing the col­li­sion on the A801 be­tween the Bog­head and Heather­field round­abouts in­volv­ing a Sca­nia lorry and a black Citroën DS3 car at around 7.30pm on the Sun­day evening of Oc­to­ber 28.

Gary’s fam­ily would like to thank ev­ery­one who came to his aid and re­sponded to the crash, both mem­bers of the pub­lic and the emer­gency ser­vices, and have re­quested that their pri­vacy is re­spected at this dif­fi­cult time.

The road at the scene was closed for some time fol­low­ing the ac­ci­dent and a full crash scene in­ves­ti­ga­tion was car­ried out.
