West Lothian College Level 5 Business and ICT students are running a pop-up social enterprise within the college in aid of West Lothian Foodbank. Created, marketed and ran by the group of students, The Donation Station is proving popular. Students are highly engaged and motivated in the concept as they feel they are making a real difference to society, especially in the run up to Christmas. A student in the group said:“The Donation Station has been a great part of our studies as it has given us real hands on experience in running a social enterprise whilst being for a worthwhile cause.” In the process the students are learning more about the benefits social enterprises can bring to individuals and wider society. Well done to all involved.
