Bingo for members and friends takes place on Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 7.30pm. The treasure chest draw also takes place on Saturdays and on Saturday 3 November B Love’s number was drawn but the correct key was not picked to open the chest. Prize money next Saturday is £200.00 A Karaoke will take place on Sunday 4 November between 7pm-11pm with every singer taking part being entered into a prize draw. The recent presentati­on dance was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended. The sheet is up in the club for anyone requiring tickets for the Hogmannay dance. Tickets are priced £5.00 and bring your own buffet o the night. Armadale Thistle FC play away to Whitburn on Saturday with the kick off at 2.00pm. Please note the earlier kick off time. Sunday 4 November lottery draw numbers were1, 2, 10, 13. Thistle are holding a Neil Diamond/ Elvis tribute night in the Highlander on 24 November. Tickets priced £7.00 are selling fast and are available from Committee members. A fund raising bingo night will take place on 7 December in the Cavalier. Doors open 7.30pm with £1.00 entry.

Gala Day The 2019 Gala Day Pageant Characters will be chosen from the following schools - Queen of Hearts and Champion - Southdale Primary School. Flower Queen - Armadale Primary School, Rainbow Fairy Queen – Eastertoun Primary School. White Fairy Queen -St Anthony’s Primary School.

Christmas Party The Ladies Section of Armadale Bowling Club are holding their Christmas Party on Thursday 6 December at 7.30pm. Please give names to Jean Smith Ladies Secretary.

Children’s Gala Day The Gala Day Committee has reconvened for 2018/19 and the office bearers are as follows:- President - Stuart Borrowman, Vice President - Liz Hubbard, Secretary Susan Rooney - e-mail susanroone­y12@gmail.com Treasurer - Lorraine Wilson.

The Gala Day will be held on Saturday 15 June 2019 with the Civic week commencing on Sunday 9 June 2019 with the retiral of the Queen of Hearts 2018. Mrs Jessie Burns has been chosen as Crowner of the 2018 Queen of Hearts.

Memory Cave Café The cafe takes place on the 3rd Friday of each month and is held within Armadale Community Centre and Library for people with dementia and their carers. The café is supported by Alzheimer Scotland and run by volunteers from the Armadale community and is a place where carers and family members can drop in at any time between 10am – 12 noon. The cafe provides a place to meet where people understand dementia, gain peer support and informatio­n, and enjoy a good blether with a varied programme each month which includes games, quizzes music and crafts. Carers or family members with someone they are caring for with dementia are always made most welcome.

Harmony Dance Club takes place on Tuesdays at the usual time of 1.30pm – 3.30pm in Armadale Community Centre and Library where existing and new members are always warmly welcomed. History of Armadale Associatio­n Meet on the second Tuesday of the month in Colinsheil Court from 2pm-4pm. All welcome.
