1st Armadale Girls Brigade Meet on Tuesday evenings in Armadale Parish Church hall with Explorers (P1-P3) meeting from 6pm-7.15pm. Juniors (P4-P7), 7pm-8.30pm. Brigaders (S1-S6) 7.45pm-9.15pm. All new and existing brigaders will be warmly welcomed. Armadale Parish Church Sunday morning services are held at 11am and all will be warmly welcomed. The Sunday School also meet at 11am. The Church is planning to embark on a major project for improving accessibility to the Church halls which are widely used by the Community and Church organisations. The cost of this project is major and fund raising for this work is essential and if you can help to fund raise in any way or donate towards this work the Church would be delighted. We ask for everyone’s help as the Church is a large part of the Armadale Community. A Community Consultation Survey is being carried out at the moment and the Church is urging people to go on line to the Armadale Parish Church website and follow the link to the survey as the Church would like as many people as possible to complete the short survey. Paper copies of the survey are also available 50+ Meetings Monthly meetings take place on the first Thursday of the month at 10am in Armadale Community Centre. Thrift Shop is held in Armadale Parish Church hall on Tuesdays from 10am-12 noon. Why not come along and browse and pick up a bargain and enjoy a cup of tea and a blether. All welcome. Knit and Natter Knit for charity in Armadale Methodist Church Hall on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 2pm – 4pm. Even if you don’t knit why not come along and enjoy a cuppa and a chat. Everyone will be made most welcome. Smoke Free Lothian Stop Smoking Support takes place in Armadale Community Centre on Wednesdays from 12 noon – 1pm. This is a free service. Boys’ Brigade The Boys Brigade meet every Thursday evening in Armadale Parish Church hall and it would be great to see existing brigaders and any boys who would be interested in joining the Brigade. The Anchors for (P2-P3’s) meet from 5.45pm-6.45pm and the Junior Section starting today for (P4/P5/ P6’s) meet from 6.45pm-8.00pm. Come along and enrol and meet new friends and have fun. WRI Meet in Colinsheil Housing with Care at 7pm on the second Monday of each month. Armadale Community Council Meet in Armadale Community Centre at 7pm on the second Thursday of the month. Mini Kickers Takes place in Armadale Community Centre on a Friday from 3.30pm-4.30pm. Mini Kickers are basic introductory football sessions for 3-5 year olds. Cost is £3.50 per week and participants can just turn up to pay and play on the day. Friendship Group The bus for the outing to the Forge at Parkhead and McKinnon Mills this Saturday 10 November will leave from the former library site at 10am and pick up at the usual points in Armadale.
