Bathgate and District Flower Club Open night , 7 for 7.15pm on Monday 19th November in the High Church Hall, Bathgate. Demonstrat­or will be John Dalton (Cumbria) and the theme is ‘A Classical Christmas’. All welcome, please come along on the night. 1st Bathgate Boys’ Brigade are holding their annual coffee morning on 10th November 10.00 to 12.00am in Bathgate High Church large hall tickets £2.50 or pay at the door, all welcome. Bathgate Procession and John Newland Festival we have started to prepare for the 2019 procession and have reached the stage of looking for characters. The procession will take place on Saturday, June 1 and we require senior pupils to take part in the historical pageant. Once again we have lettered the three secondary schools within the Bathgate catchment area but we would greatly appreciate your support in finding our principal characters. The pupils who take part in the procession must be Bathgate residents. We are looking for: 3 girls S1 to take the roles of Rainbow Queen, Flower Queen and Lady of the Court 3 girls S2 to S6 to take the roles of Ladies in Waiting 1 girl from S4 to S6 to take the role of Princess Marjory 2 boys from S2 to S6 to take the roles of Lord Lyon and Earl of Moray 1 boy from S4 to S6 to take the role of Walter High Steward Any interested pupils should forward their name, address and telephone number to Phyllis Sproull, 42 Kirk Road, Bathgate, EH48 1BP (01506 651214) or via the procession site on Facebook.
