West Lothian leading the way
West Lothian Table Tennis Club’s A team are sitting at the top of the Edinburgh and Lothians League despite losing their perfect start to the campaign last week.
After a streak of five wins on the bounce to start the season, they were held to a 5-5 draw away at Edinburgh University.
The club boasts three players currently in the top-10 rankings with Dariusz Szymczak (left) leading the way with 15 wins from 18 matches.
He has been ably assisted by Lukasz Kaska and Brian Hunter.
While the A team are sitting pretty, the B team occupy second bottom spot in the Premier League with a solitary win to their name through six games. The two top West Lothian sides face off today (Thursday).
In Division One, West Lothian C were inactive last week and sit in the lower half of the table. Their next match is away to Murrayfield E on November 15.
West Lothian D are still looking for their first win in Division Two after they lost out to West Lothian E on Monday night, 6-4, with the E team impressive so far as they sit in seventh place on the 12-team league.
West Lothian F now have a winning record as they picked up their third victory in five games on Friday night with a 7-3 win over Edinburgh University E as they jumped into fifth spot in the Division Three table.
The club boast three of the top five teams in Division Four with West Lothian H topping the table as West Lothian I sit in third and the club’s G team are in fifth.
