Gallagher’s top performance in Antalya
Linlithgow golfer Stephen Gallacher put in an impressive display at the Turkish Airlines Open in Antalya last weekend as a final round 66 saw him finish six-under and tied for 35th place.
A solid opening round 70 was followed by a pair of 71s before a brilliant Sunday saw him climb the rankings and give him hope of turning around his fortunes after what has been an up and down 2018 for the former Ryder Cup winner.
The tournament has been a happy hunting ground for the 44-year-old during his European Tour career with last week’s effort actually his worst score in five visits.
Gallacher is back in action this week on the European Tour when he travels to South Africa for the Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player in Sun City.
The Bathgate Golf Club star has been paired with Gavin Green and Jason Scrivener for Thursday’s opening round.
