Officers were called to an address at Graham Way, Knightsridge, around 4am on Saturday (November 17).
And after the fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, a body was discovered in the property. Formal identification is currently ongoing, however, the person is believed to be a man in his 40s. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Sergeant David MacMillan of Livingston CID said: “Our enquiries continue with colleagues in the fire service as we work to establish the full circumstances surrounding this. However, the fire is not currently being treated as suspicious.
“The family of the man believed to have passed away are being kept fully updated, and the community are thanked for their ongoing co- operation with emergency
services.”
David Lockhart, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s Local Senior Officer for Falkirk and West Lothian, added:
“The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 3.58am on Saturday, November 18, to reports of a fire within a house in Livingston.
“Operations Control mobilised four fire engines to Graham Way where firefighters were met with a welldeveloped fire.
