Santa’s sleigh set to spread fes­tive cheer

a West Loth­ian busi­ness will be spread­ing some fes­tive cheer again this year with their mag­i­cal santa’s sleigh.

For many years, the team from the garage Whit­burn has de­lighted peo­ple young and old around the com­mu­nity to say a great big thank you for their sup­port.

and this week­end they’re get­ting ready to do it all again with some new ad­di­tions.

the 2018 tour will be vis­it­ing all the usual catch­ment ar­eas as well as adding a few more stop­ping places to help young and old in their com­mu­ni­ties see the sleigh and catch a smile from santa and his helpers.

and this year ev­ery­one will be able to visit santa in his grotto at the garage for the very first time.

owner Ian robert­son ex­plained:“Each year we are asked to visit other ar­eas with the sleigh but we strug­gle to fit any more in, in fact the sleigh trav­elled 800 miles in 2017.

“In­tro­duc­ing the grotto will hope­fully give those chil­dren, and adults, the op­por­tu­nity to see the sleigh, share smiles and get pic­tures with santa, his helpers and the sleigh.”

Ian also said the team are in­tro­duc­ing a brand new fea­ture for this Christ­mas where cus­tomers can nom­i­nate their street for a visit.

He con­tin­ued :“garage cus­tomers who have pur­chased a ser­vice, re­pair or Mot be­tween oc­to­ber 1 and De­cem­ber 10 can nom­i­nate a street where the sleigh will visit.

“Each year we try to visit as many streets as we can.”

nom­i­na­tion forms will be avail­able from the garage of­fice and ar­eas will in­clude Whit­burn, East Whit­burn, Lon­gridge, Fauld­house, green­rigg, Harthill, Black­ridge, shotts, Bre­ich, ad­diewell, stoney­burn, Bents, Bath­gate, Black­burn, seafield, ar­madale, tor­phichen and West­field.
